Boot camps are no longer a fitness fad, in fact… I believe group training is the future of fitness.</p>
<p>In a group-training atmosphere you’re surrounded by likeminded people with the same fitness goals as yourself, it’s a positive environment where everyone encourages and motivates one another, plus you get the extra motivation from the instructors who are with you every step of the way.</p>
<p>Members also get extra encouragement through our membership website where the trainers hold everyone accountable and support them on their journey.</p>
<p>Dangerously Fit Boot camp is challenging and fun, unless you make training an enjoyable experience people won’t come back for more. And because you’re sharing the cost with other people in the group, it’s much more affordable than 1-1 personal training.</p>
<p>At Dangerously Fit our members get full access to all times and locations, this flexibility allows our members to make up classes later in the week… so you don’t have to worry about missing a class.<span id="more-959"></span></p>

Turning your body into a fat burning machine.</p>
<p>Best exercise tips:</p>
<p>When exercising it’s best to use big compound exercises that work the whole body combined with high intensity cardio.</p>
<p>At Dangerously Fit Boot Camp we use metabolic conditioning workouts where we quickly move from strength exercise to strength exercise with short rest intervals working different areas of the body, combined with anaerobic bodyweight exercises to increase the heart rate. These high intensity workouts are great for burning fat plus you can finish an entire workout in under 45-mins (including the warm-up &amp; cool down).</p>
<p>A study by The European Applied Journal of Physiology showed this style of training elevated the metabolism for up to 16 hours after training. So you not only do you burn heaps of calories during your workout, but after your workout too.</p>
<p><strong>Boot Camp Benefit 3</strong></p>
<p>Best diet tips&#8230;..</p>
<p>A big part of our nutrition program is teaching people what to eat and how much to eat&#8230; basically people need to learn how much fuel their body needs to lose weight and to maintain their current weight.</p>
<p>The first thing to do is to work out how many calories your consuming now, this is known as your ‘calorie maintenance range’. This is how many calories you eat to maintain the weight you are now. We give our members a quick formula to work out this number.</p>

<p>Assuming that you want to lose weight we deduct a 20% off your calorie maintenance range, don’t let your calories drop under 20% or you might put your body in starvation mode.</p>
<p>Each week we recalculate your calories as you begin to lose weight, once you reach your desired weight you can now re-calculate your new calorie maintenance range.</p>
<p>Everyday track your diet and keep a nutrition journal, use a calorie counting book or website to make sure your hitting your new calorie maintenance range everyday.</p>
<p>Eat every 3-4 hours or about 5-6 meals a day and consume plenty of protein to stop the muscles from breaking down.</p>
<p>These are just a few key aspects that are in our 6 week body challenge program, typically our members will lose 1-1.5 kilos per week (depending on their current weight) following our exercise and nutrition programs, any more weight loss will result in muscle loss and your body going into starvation mode making it harder to keep the weight off.</p>

<p>In 6 weeks Killian lost 16 kilos, 16% of his total bodyweight, 16cm round his chest, 16.5cm round his waist, 9.5cm round his hips and 18cm round his thighs.</p>

And&#8230; well done to everyone that completed the 6 Week Body Transformation contest&#8230;. I was completely blown away by the results.</p>
<p>Killian lost the most weight dropping 16 kilos and 16% of his bodyweight.</p>
<p>James was in 2nd place dropping 12.1 kilos and 12.24% of his bodyweight, and Stafford was in close 3rd dropping 11.1 kilos and 12.14% of his bodyweight.</p>
<p>Yael was top girl dropping 7.7 kilos and 9.54% bodweight, followed closely by Ana who lost 7.1kilos and 9.17% bodyweight.</p>
<p>Also a special congratulations to our last 6 week body winner Mary-Anne who has continued her great working dropping 22 kilos since she began training with Dangerously Fit in September.</p>
<p>Thank you to everyone that participated in making this an awesome event, I&#8217;m looking forward to our next 6 week body challenge on April 21st!</p>

<p>Finally winter is behind us and we have 9 months of sun, sea and boot camp to look forward to.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s been a couple of months since my last newsletter&#8230; as usual I took 6 weeks off in winter to go traveling &#8211; this time through Philippines and Bali.</p>
<p>As always Bali was awesome and Philippines is definitely worth going, especially if you&#8217;re into diving&#8230; just don&#8217;t make the mistake I made and go during typhoon season.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re like many Sydneysiders you took a few months off training in winter coz its &#8216;dark&#8217; and &#8216;cold&#8217;&#8230; and you&#8217;ve probably packed on a few kilo&#8217;s?</p>
<p>Well&#8230; it ain&#8217;t dark or cold anymore so if you want your beach body it&#8217;s time to get back into training!</p>
