Sandbags are a great tool. Smitty from Diesel Crew recommended using military duffel bags and duct taping them at the top when I'm doing my sports performance and hockey training. You can find them on ebay from several suppliers. In my experience, it's a hit or miss because they are used. Some of them have some tiny holes in them which will cause some sand leaking. My facility was flooded a few months ago and I lost all of my bags. I just bought a bunch of brand new ones for $18 verse $8-$11 for used ones. I'm happy with buying the new ones for the extra money.
As a side note, do not purchase the water proof smaller bags from the military supplier. They are a great size for woman and kids(a small pillow can fit inside) but they aren't very durable.
